A Positive Message for Change in Berkeley Heights Town Council
Edmund Tom Maciejewski's vision is a simple one of
positivity:
Let the people of Berkeley Heights have open access and improved
communication as to what is going on in our Town Council.
Let the people of Berkeley Heights have open channels of
communication for extended conversations and debate about what is
going on in our town.
Let the people of Berkeley Heights have an active say as to how our
tax dollars are spent especially for projects that have long-term
impacts that reach far beyond the tenure of the council.
Allow people to hold opposing viewpoints without being silenced,
intimidated, debased and minimized by local government.
Let all of the people in Berkeley Heights be represented, not just
a small group.
Let us make sure that the Council represents the residents and not
special interest.
Let us make sure that taxes in this town are proportionate to
services that the town is providing.
Let us make sure that the town is well managed and that people are
satisfied with the level of service of our town.
Let us work with, not against, the local businesses to ensure that
we are doing everything in our powers to have a vibrant and
thriving downtown business district. It is not the role of a
government entity to force standards upon the local businesses. Let
us let them flourish.
